What do we do?

We manufacture and supply Postsaver ground line barrier sleeves and application equipment to prevent ground rot in timber fence posts, utility poles (click here) and corrosion in lamp standards. We have been doing this for nearly 20 years.

Postsaver Barrier Sleeves: Solving the problem

Patented Postsaver barrier sleeves are a dual layer sleeve comprising a tough polythene outer layer with a meltable bituminous liner; they are all 14’’/350mm long. Postsaver sleeves are quickly and easily heat shrunk on to the vulnerable ground line section of your post using a gas blow torch.

On heating the bituminous liner melts and seals the timber surface whilst the tough outer thermoplastic sleeve shrinks down tightly on to the post. The end result is a tough and durable barrier which keeps the preservative in and the causes of decay out.

Are Postsaver sleeves expensive?

No; Postsaver sleeves are low in cost typically adding only a few percent onto the installed cost of your fencing. A small fraction of the cost of having to replace your fence, sometimes after only a few years.

You will save lots of money as Postsaver barrier sleeves help you to reduce your fence renewal and maintenance costs.

Can Postsaver sleeves be installed in the normal way?

Postsaver sleeved posts can installed in all the normal ways without any problems.

Can Postsaver sleeved post be driven in to stony ground without problems?

Yes Postsaver is designed to be power driven into stony ground without problems. We have tested this extensively; please see our video (click here) of a Postsaver sleeved post being driven through a farm road without any problem.

A claim backed up by the tens of thousands of Postsaver sleeved posts having been installed in stony ground every year. In practice the point of the post pushes stones and rubble out of the way before they reach the sleeved section of the post. Any remaining stones slide over the low friction sleeve surface leaving the tough dual layer barrier intact.

Is Postsaver available to fit all posts sizes?

Postsaver sleeves are available ex stock in 12 sizes to fit all standard fence post sizes. We supply sleeves all over the world.

How do I apply Postsaver sleeves?

Postsaver sleeves are easily and quickly applied in 6 to 30 seconds (depending on size of post and power of application equipment) using a low cost off the shelf gas blow torch or pallet shrink gun. Sleeves can be applied either in factory or on site prior to post installation.
