Postsaver was developed 15 years ago in response to the age old problem of timber fence posts rotting through at ground level
 
The tough, dual layer polythene and bitummous lined sleeve has been used extensively in the USA and Europe since, in many challenging and diverse applications.
 
Changes in EU legislation in 2004 banning chrome and arsenic in preservative have accentuated the problem. Some current posts are rotting through at ground level in as little as 3 years.
 
Our extensive testing programme has included:
 
  BRE Testing to EN252
 
  AWPA Testing and Accreditation (USA)
 
Postsaver protected stakes and control samples without Postsaver after 8 years in ground testing.
Stakes treated by dipping in 3% CCA solution with ground-line wrap after 8 years in ground
contact.
Control stakes treated by dipping in 3% CCA solution after 8 years in ground contact.
 
Super tough, long life, two layer protection from rot
The majority of posts rot within 200mm of the ground line Postsaver prevents this.
